YouTube star Ben Potter has tragically passed away at the age of 40.
Ben, who was best known to his fans as Comicstorian, had over three million subscribers captivated by the way he brought comic books to life through engaging audio dramas. His death on June 8, 2024, was confirmed by his wife, Nathalie, who shared that it was due to an “unfortunate accident.”
Ben’s work on Comicstorian focused on storytelling within the Marvel and DC Universes, providing countless fans with deep dives into these beloved characters and tales.
In her heartfelt message, Nathalie described Ben as not just a content creator, but a loving and genuine individual who always made time for his loved ones. “He was someone who would listen and make time for his loved ones. He was our rock and he’d reassure his loved ones whenever they needed it,” she said.
Struggling with the loss, Nathalie emphasized how much her husband meant to her and their family. “I need time to be with friends and family. I have so many things I need to figure out but firstly, I need to grieve. I ask that you respect my privacy as well as everyone else’s. Right now my priority is preserving everything he’s built and I don’t have any plans beyond that,” she stated.
Echoing her sentiments, Nathalie expressed her commitment to continue Ben’s legacy through his YouTube channel, which she described as one of his greatest achievements. Despite the mourning period, she is determined to keep his passion for storytelling alive and honor his memory by continuing to share great stories.
