“I feel sorry for the suffering she went through,” the victim’s husband said
In a tragic incident, a mother of four who had been missing was found inside a large python in Indonesia.
The woman, named Farida, was identified by her husband and local villagers from Kalempang. Residents began searching when she didn’t return home the previous night.
Her husband grew suspicious after finding her belongings, prompting a search that led them to a python with a noticeably large stomach.
After cutting open the snake, they discovered Farida’s body inside, still fully dressed, as reported by the village head, Suardi Rosi.
Video footage shows the python being cut open, confirming the tragic discovery.
This disturbing event marks the fifth incident of a python eating a person in Indonesia since 2017. However, such occurrences are extremely rare.
Expert Bruce Jayne from the University of Cincinnati mentions that while there are instances of snakes eating humans, these are typically very large pythons preying on smaller individuals.
According to Jayne, it takes a long time for pythons to grow to such immense sizes, making these incidents highly uncommon.
Most adults need not worry about pythons unless encountering an exceptionally large specimen.
Farida’s husband expressed his deep sorrow, stating he was “forever sorry” for allowing his wife to go out alone.
“I feel sorry for the suffering she went through,” he said, per the outlet. “I am sorry for our family.”
