The McConaugheys are prepping for their children’s summer break by loading up their supply of Pantalones tequila
Camila and Matthew McConaughey are gearing up for the summer season in a way many parents can relate to – with a splash of tequila! As they prepare for their kids’ summer break, they are making sure to stock up on Pantalones Tequila, their own brand.
The celebrity couple, known for their playful advertising stints without pants, brings a fresh twist with their latest video titled, “The Official Tequila Of Summer Parenting.” This time, however, they are decidedly clothed.
The light-hearted video kicks off with Alice Cooper’s “School’s Out” playing in the background, creating a perfect vibe for summer break. You see Camila and Matthew staring at a packed family calendar. Among the jumble of activities, a day of major significance is highlighted: “Last day of school summer break!”
As parents to Levi, 15, Vida, 14, and Livingston, 11, the couple shares a knowing glance. Ready to tackle summer, Matthew begins mixing a classic margarita using their tequila.
“Pantalones: the best thing we’ve made with our pants on,” Matthew jokes after serving up the refreshing drinks.
The video ends with the couple comfortably sitting on the couch, raising their glasses, and Matthew cheerfully saying, “Good luck.”
This nod to summer also brings a touch of nostalgia as “School’s Out” famously played in Dazed and Confused, a film Matthew starred in over 30 years ago.
In a statement, the McConaugheys conveyed the essence of this refreshing season. “Margarita season begins this month, and that means tequila consumption is on the rise. It’s also when our kids summertime begins.” they shared.
“We have no idea whether these two events are correlated but as proud parents of Pantalones Organic Tequila and three kids, we have a hunch they are and say cheers to all our fellow summer parents.”
The engaging video was shared on social media with the fitting caption, “school’s out, margaritas in.”
The newest Pantalones ad preserves the cheeky humor that they’re known for, despite a slightly more clothed approach this time. Previous ads featured Camila and Matthew in pantless scenes, playing croquet, dominating in pickleball, and even riding motorcycles.
