Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’ son is growing up fast!
The couple shared a heartfelt Instagram tribute to their eldest child, Michael, for his 27th birthday on Sunday, June 2. The post featured a nostalgic throwback reel of Michael through the years, all set to the upbeat tune of Curtis Mayfield’s “Move on Up.”
The reel showcases Michael’s journey, highlighting key moments such as his first steps, fun Halloween costumes, and joyous birthday celebrations over the years.
“Happy 27th birthday to the founding member of our family @Michael.Consuelos 🎉. You got the ball rolling baby and we love you!” Ripa, 53, lovingly captioned the post.
The touching tribute drew warm responses from many well-known friends, including Andy Cohen, Jenna Dewan, and Uzo Aduba.
“I love this. Happy Birthday Mikey!” wrote Cohen, 56, who coincidentally shares the same birthday as Michael.
“This is precious. Happy Birthday!!!” commented Orange Is the New Black alum Aduba.
Dewan, 43, who worked with the young actor in a 2022 Lifetime movie, chimed in with: “Happy birthday Michael!!!! So much love to you all!!! 🙌🙌.”
Kelly and Mark, the dynamic duo of Live with Kelly and Mark, welcomed their first child Michael in 1997. Along with Michael, they are proud parents to daughter Lola, 22, and son Joaquin, 21.
In a 2022 interview for the Sexiest Man Alive issue, Michael mentioned that he often finds style inspiration in his dad Mark’s wardrobe and enjoys borrowing his clothes.
“My dad has a really cool closet,” he said about Mark, 53. “I often raid his closet—and he always notices. He’s always like, ‘Hey, where’s this shirt?’ And I’m always like, ‘Oh, you were away for a while, so I just borrowed it.’ And he replies, ‘Next time, just ask!’”
The Ripa-Consuelos family has a packed birthday month in June. Following Michael’s celebration, their daughter Lola is set to turn 23 on June 16.
