Kate Middleton and Prince William Seen in New Photo After Surprise B&B Stay Last Year

The local bed and breakfast in Wales shared a never-before-seen image from the royal couple’s visit, calling them “so kind and friendly.”

A cozy bed and breakfast in Wales reminisced on their visit from Kate Middleton and Prince William one year later — with a new, heartfelt photo!

On April 27, Duffryn Mawr Country House shared two new pictures on their Facebook page, marking the anniversary of the Prince and Princess of Wales’ stay in 2023. One picture showed Prince William, now 41, and Princess Kate, now 42, posing with staff members. The second image was of their signatures in a guest book.

“It’s been 1 year since we welcomed William and Kate, the Prince and Princess of Wales, to Duffryn Mawr!” said the bed and breakfast team in their post. “We were delighted to host them for a night when they visited The Brecon Beacons. So kind and friendly, it was a pleasure to have them stay here.”

The photo revealed Princess Kate and Prince William dressed in the same outfits they wore for their visit to Aberfan on April 28, 2023, suggesting the picture was taken the morning they left.

The royal couple likely had a restful night after a busy day spent outdoors in Wales. Despite some rain, they were actively involved with the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team. The couple participated in training activities such as rappelling, medical support exercises, and a search dog rescue demonstration.

Following their activities with the rescue team, they visited Dowlais Rugby Club to meet members of the local community. They enjoyed some warm conversations over pizza from the Little Dragon Pizza Van. The couple ordered a variety of pizzas including pepperoni, margherita, barbecue chicken, and goats’ cheese, which they shared with the rescue teams in Dowlais.

Peter Morris, owner of the Little Dragon Pizza Van, served the pizzas along with his colleague Shannon Stokes. Morris said, “The Princess asked if we make our own dough and mentioned they love making pizzas with their children,” referring to Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.

Morris added, “Making pizza for the future king and queen was surreal.”

Princess Kate and Prince William’s three children are currently on school break until June 3. The couple traditionally takes time away from their royal duties during school vacations to focus on family time. This year, Kate has already chosen to stay out of the public eye due to her cancer treatment, and William has postponed most of his outings until the U.K.’s general election on July 4.

On May 25, George joined his father at the FA Cup final between Manchester City and Manchester United at Wembley Stadium in London.
