“It’s beautiful, and he designed it, it’s incredible,” the Duchess of Sussex previously said about the ring designed by Prince Harry.
More than six years after Prince Harry’s proposal, Meghan Markle’s engagement ring continues to captivate attention.
The Duchess of Sussex’s three-stone diamond sparkler is the most-searched celebrity engagement ring in the world, according to a new study from U.K. jeweler Ramsden’s Jewellery. The findings analyzed global search volume data from the past 12 months, and an aggregated average revealed that Meghan’s ring drove about 51,283 searches a month.

In second place was Princess Diana’s iconic sapphire and diamond ring, which Meghan’s sister-in-law Kate Middleton wears today, with 22,100 average global monthly searches. Following them were Megan Fox, Millie Bobby Brown, and Hailey Bieber rounding out the top five.
Meghan, 42, typically wears her engagement ring stacked with her Welsh gold wedding ring and eternity band, which she received as an anniversary gift from Harry in 2019. Last year, she made headlines by not wearing her engagement ring for a brief period, including at the Invictus Games in Düsseldorf, Germany, in September 2023.

PEOPLE understands Meghan’s engagement ring was being serviced because a setting came loose.
On Valentine’s Day, Meghan was photographed again with the ring on her finger at the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025’s One Year to Go countdown in British Columbia, Canada. She wore the tri-stone sparkler with her two other favorite bands and sported the same combo during her recent trip to Nigeria with Prince Harry in May.
The Duke of Sussex, 39, famously designed his wife’s engagement ring with Cleave and Company, the jewelers to his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. The ring features an ethically sourced center gem from Botswana, where he and Meghan romantically camped together early in their courtship, flanked by two smaller diamonds from his mother Princess Diana’s personal collection.

During their engagement interview with the BBC in November 2017, Harry said he incorporated his late mother’s jewels “to make sure that she’s with us on this crazy journey together.” Meghan praised the thoughtful inspiration, saying, “It’s beautiful, and he designed it, it’s incredible.”
The couple went on to tie the knot in May 2018, and royal watchers noticed a sparkling addition to the ring when she and Prince Harry introduced their firstborn, Prince Archie, to the world in May 2019.
The Duchess of Sussex had the trio of diamonds reset from the original solid yellow gold band to a thin micro-pavé band, giving it a subtle yet elegant change.
Meghan is known for her elegant accessorizing, and during her three-day trip to Nigeria, she wore a new piece of jewelry that also has a royal history. PEOPLE exclusively revealed that the diamond cross necklace Meghan wore to a reception for military families on May 11 was a recent gift from Prince Harry and once belonged to the late Princess Diana.
