Jesse Tyler Ferguson Returns to the Modern Family Set: ‘Haven’t Seen This View in a While’

Jesse Tyler Ferguson is taking a walk down memory lane.

On Thursday, May 23, the actor, 48, shared a snap of the Modern Family set on his Instagram Stories with the caption, “Haven’t seen this view in a while.”

The photo featured the on-screen home of Phil (Ty Burrell) and Claire Dunphy (Julie Bowen), as well as their three children, Haley (Sarah Hyland), Luke (Nolan Gould), and Alex (Ariel Winter).

Ferguson played the role of lawyer Mitchell Pritchett, the brother of Claire Dunphy, on the hit ABC sitcom.

Modern Family aired from 2009 to 2020 and followed the lives of three families in California as they navigated life’s ups and downs with their children, spouses, and jobs.

Meanwhile, Ferguson’s recent post comes after he reunited with cast members Bowen and Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, who played his character Mitchell’s sister and daughter, respectively.

The reunion saw Ferguson taking Bowen, 54, to see Anderson-Emmons, 16, perform in her school play.

“Took my sis to see the kiddo in her school musical, The Theory of Relativity. So proud of you,” read his caption in the March post.

The cast of Modern Family also reunited at the 2024 SAG Awards.

Presenting the Ensemble in a Comedy Award to the cast of FX’s The Bear, cast members Bowen, Ed O’Neill, Sofía Vergara, Burrell, Eric Stonestreet, and Ferguson took to the stage.

Last November, the cast had their first-ever reunion since their 11th and final season.

In photos shared by co-star Vergara, who played Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, the wife of Jay Pritchett, the cast was seen laughing and smiling as they gathered for a group photo.

Cast members present included Bowen, Hyland, Stonestreet, Ferguson, Winter, Rico Rodriguez, O’Neill, and Gould, while Burrell was unable to make it.

Despite Burrell’s absence, his presence was felt as his castmates posed with a photo of his character Phil.

“We miss you Ty,” the Modern Family group yelled, adding, “Love you dad.”

“So lucky to have worked with [these] people for 11 years❤️,” read Vergara’s caption at the time, with another post reading, “I love and miss you all guys!!! #modernfamily.”

Meanwhile, Ferguson also shared snaps of the reunion on his Instagram, describing the event as “nearly” perfect.
