Yes, it’s true! Bridgit Mendler is now a proud Harvard graduate!
The Disney Channel star, known for her role in ‘Good Luck Charlie’, has officially earned her law degree from Harvard Law School.
Earlier this week, a video surfaced on social media showing the 31-year-old Mendler walking across the graduation stage, donned in her cap and gown.
The emotional moment was particularly special as she was accompanied by her 4-year-old son, whom she adopted in 2022.
During the ceremony, Mendler received her diploma, exchanged handshakes with faculty members, and shared a wave with someone special in the audience before exiting the stage.
Mendler’s dedication to her academics has been evident. According to her LinkedIn profile, she began her Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree journey at Harvard in 2021. Moreover, she served as the co-president of the Harvard Space Law Society during 2022-2023.
In addition to her Harvard JD, she holds a master’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and is working toward a PhD from the same institution.

Earlier this year, Mendler addressed some confusion about her educational pursuits on X (formerly known as Twitter). She clarified, “I am 2 months away from a JD and I don’t already have a PhD”. She also mentioned pausing her PhD studies when she moved to California for family reasons but remains committed to completing it.
Mendler continues to shine beyond academics. She is currently the CEO of Northwood Space, a company working to establish a “data highway between earth and space.” Her husband, Griffin Cleverly, serves as the company’s chief technology officer.
Reflecting on how she came up with the idea for Northwood Space during the pandemic, Mendler shared a light-hearted anecdote with CNBC: “While everybody else was making their sourdough starters, we were building antennas out of random stuff we could find at Home Depot … and receiving data from [National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration] satellites,” she said.
Mendler’s remarkable journey—from Disney Channel superstar to Harvard law graduate and tech startup CEO—reminds us that with passion and perseverance, one can achieve new horizons. Congratulations, Bridgit!
