8-week-old puppy found abandoned in porta potty — Rescue gives him a second chance

It’s truly heartbreaking to hear about anyone abandoning a puppy, treating them like mere garbage. Thankfully, there are kind-hearted souls out there willing to step in and offer these neglected pups a second chance at life.

Such was the recent fate of a tiny puppy found abandoned in a porta potty. But thanks to his rescuers, he’s now on the road to recovery.

The puppy was in a terrible state: he was so malnourished that his rib cage and spine were painfully visible. His little paws were urine-stained, and his nails were excessively overgrown.

“This precious boy has been a little wiggly angel despite being failed by the person who was supposed to care for him,” the rescuers shared.

Photos capture the incredible transformation: the once fragile and forlorn pup now clambers into laps with a smile on his face, looking worlds away from the pitiful state he was discovered in just a week prior.

“Once his excitement for you calms down, he loves curling up in your warm lap. What a testament to how forgiving animals can be.”

From here, the puppy has moved to a foster home, where he will continue his journey towards health and happiness. His loving foster parents, along with his “foster dog siblings,” will be there to guide him through this phase of recovery.

FWACC (Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control) has mentioned that they don’t yet know when the puppy will be available for adoption, but they promise to keep everyone updated.

They extended their heartfelt thanks to everyone supporting their Angel Fund, which provides crucial second chances to abandoned dogs like this adorable pup.

It’s unimaginable that anyone would abandon such a sweet puppy, but we’re thrilled to see him now in caring hands and a wonderful foster home!
