Wedding bells are ringing for Hailie Jade Scott!
The 28-year-old influencer, who is the daughter of rapper Eminem, has tied the knot with Evan McClintock. Scott shared the big news on Instagram on Monday, May 20, along with a series of photos from the stunning nuptials.
“Waking up a wife this week” she declared in the caption, before reflecting on her special day.
Scott said “I do” in a white strapless gown with a classic sweetheart neckline and a dramatic ruffled hemline and train. Her hair was styled in a simple updo topped with a tulle veil and held a bouquet of all-white flowers. McClintock wore a classic black tuxedo.
In the photos, the newlyweds kissed outside a church covered in white flowers and greenery and while sitting atop a classic convertible. Scott also shared a photo of her now-husband looking overcome with emotion during the ceremony.
The couple — who met while students at Michigan State University — announced their engagement in February 2023, after six years of dating. Scott shared the news in an Instagram post featuring several photos of her and McClintock, celebrating the special moment, including a shot of him down on one knee and a snap of the pair popping a bottle of champagne.
“Casual weekend recap… 😭💗 2.4.23 💍 i love you @evanmcclintock11,” she captioned the post.
In May 2023, Scott shared photos from their rooftop engagement party in Detroit. According to the Just a Little Shady podcast host, even an untimely allergy flare-up earlier that day didn’t dampen her spirits as she and her fiancé toasted their future together surrounded by their family and friends.
“I woke up with the worst allergies, so I’m doing everything I can right now to depuff and decongest,” she explained in an Instagram makeup tutorial that showed her getting ready for the soirée.
“I’m going pretty natural on the eye makeup because I’m actually doing a few outfit changes,” she continued. “We’re doing our engagement pictures before the party since we’re already going to be getting ready, so it just made sense.”
She then shared a separate Instagram reel filled with pictures from the party and engagement shoot by Erika Christine Photo, including snaps of the couple looking into each other’s eyes at the bar and sharing a kiss in another sweet moment.
The pair opted for formal attire for the occasion, with Scott dressed in a white halter-style dress and slingback heels and McClintock clad in a light gray suit. They later made several more wardrobe changes for their photo shoot. Scott slipped into a black dress and an all-white look consisting of pants and a strapless top, and her fiancé donned a suit in both black and maroon.
While Scott is not shy about showing off her outfits and daily adventures on Instagram, she’s kept her relationship pretty private over the years — though she has shared snaps of McClintock on special occasions, including her 21st birthday, St. Patrick’s Day in 2017, and Halloween in 2018.
Scott’s dad also has remained tight-lipped about his daughter’s personal life, but he did voice his approval of her relationship when he mentioned her and McClintock in a 2020 interview on Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, where the boxer asked if Scott had any kids.
“No babies. Just a boyfriend. She’s doing good,” Eminem said of his daughter, who’s been referenced nearly two dozen times in his songs across his rap career. “She’s made me proud for sure.”
